A musical adventure with Kim & Jimbo Cary

Do you like to play drums, bells, gourds, tambourines, and maracas?
Join the fun as the audience is invited to play along with an Irish jig, a Mexican waltz, an East European frailach and West African dance rhythms.
Kim & Jimbo perform on fiddle, mandolin, guitar, saxophone, West
African drums and balafon (a West African xylophone).
The Carys bring their collection of over 200 world percussion instruments (bells, maracas, gourds, tambourines, and drums) for families to create their own music.

ABOUT KIM & JIMBO:
Kim & Jimbo play fiddle, banjo, mandolin, guitar, jawharp, bones, African drums, and more. They have performed together professionally for over 20 years and have reached more than 200,000 children and families at schools, libraries, festivals, and fairs throughout the state.

GRANTS:
Based on their artistic excellence and sound management, Kim & Jimbo have been selected as Touring Artists by the Virginia Commission for the Arts. Grants are available for non-profit organizations to help with the performance fees and travel expenses.
